My name is Clair Delaney, welcome to my website. Make yourselves at home and have a good look around. Well, where should I start? I’m not going to tell you the story that most writers do – that I’ve always dreamt of becoming a writer – because I didn’t. In truth, this is how the whole writing shenanigans began. I was five years old when I thought I had found my purpose, the job I was meant to do – which was working as a designer at Disney. The idea of creating characters and drawings that would then be seen on the big screen seemed so exciting to me, and I loved to draw – still do. Long story short, when I drew these pictures, I always wrote a short story on the opposite page. I guess I didn’t realise I had a talent for story telling too, because I didn’t pursue it, didn’t even give it a second thought.

But, after many…many years in lots of different jobs – and most of them I didn’t like – I kind of had a ‘what am I doing with my life’ moment. I’d always had ideas for stories kicking around my head, and would often say to myself ‘that would make a great book’ but did nothing about it. I finally found the courage one evening after work, to sit in front of my old computer, start up word and attempt to get an idea typed up. This journey had taken many years to get to where I am today. It’s taken a lot of hard work, sacrifice, learning, and having to find belief in myself when I had run out of courage to keep on writing.

And now we come full circle. Darkest Fears, a romantic erotic Trilogy, is my first published works. Fallen For Him, Freed By Him and Forever With Him – and not forgetting A Christmas Wish, the Christmas Novella to the Trilogy - holds a very special place in my heart. Coral and Tristan are very much a couple who are meant to be, a couple that have love at first sight hit them like a sledgehammer. It was a very emotional journey to write their story, but a heart meltingly wonderful one too.

I endeavour to write as much as I can, as quickly as I can, so you lovely readers have more to devour.

As for me, I love to work-out and eat well. I’m a music nut, I have a lot of music and it plays heavily in my writing. I love very dark chocolate and Jack Daniels. I love long walks in nature, I love the earth – beautiful planet that she is - and I’m crazy about all creatures, big and small. When I’m not writing, I love to read, and enjoy a movie at the weekend, oh and I’m a sucker for period dramas.
